Although islanders are innocent stakeholders in climate change, they are victims of climate change and have to face its consequences. Unlike most people who live in the larger landmasses – rising sea levels and natural disasters will impact the continuity of islanders, not in 100 years, but now. However, we might be less aware of how small island developing states are the most vulnerable groups who face the impact of climate change firsthand. We all agree that the issue of climate change is critically important as it affects many layers of society around the globe.
